Terms of Use
Last updated: September 16, 2026
1. Using GeoBorders
By playing GeoBorders, you agree to these terms. The game asks you to draw country borders and scores how closely your drawings match them.
2. Anonymous sessions
You do not need to register an account. We create an anonymous session so the game works, but that session may expire and is not a permanent player profile.
3. User-provided content
You are responsible for the nicknames, room names, drawings, reactions, and game choices you submit, and you keep ownership of that content. You give GeoBorders limited permission to store, transmit, and show it only as needed to run the game.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- submit unlawful content or abusive, hateful, or threatening nicknames or room names;
- deceptively impersonate another person;
- attempt unauthorized access or interfere with service operation;
- abuse matchmaking or automated requests, or bypass security or rate limits;
- exploit vulnerabilities or submit malicious code or data; or
- intentionally disrupt games for other players.
We may remove content or restrict a room or session to keep players safe, stop abuse, comply with the law, or protect the service. We do not actively review every game or submission.
5. Room passwords
A room password only controls who can join that room. Do not reuse a password that protects another account. This is not end-to-end encryption, and GeoBorders is not a confidential messaging service.
6. Game results
Scores are calculated automatically. Your drawing, the underlying map data, technical limits, and connection problems can all affect the result, so a score may not be perfectly precise.
7. Service availability
We may change or discontinue GeoBorders, and the site may occasionally be unavailable. We cannot guarantee permanent access or uninterrupted service.
8. Intellectual property
GeoBorders branding, interface, software, and original site content are protected to the extent provided by applicable law. GeoBorders does not claim ownership of third-party geographic datasets or maps. Maps and data may be supplied by third-party providers, and their attribution and use remain governed by their applicable terms.
9. Third-party services
GeoBorders depends on third-party hosting, database, map, security, and infrastructure services. Their availability and operation may affect the game.
10. Disclaimer and limits
GeoBorders is provided for casual gameplay and learning. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without promises that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. GeoBorders is not responsible for losses caused solely by events outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Changes
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of the page.
